Donald Trump and Bill O’Reilly’s History Tour Has Thousands of Tickets Unsold – Newsweek

Despite being on sale for several months, tickets for Donald Trump‘s headline speaking tour with Bill O’Reilly are still widely available at each location.

Dubbed “The History Tour,” the former president is set to appear on stage with the ex-Fox News presenter for four dates at venues in Florida and Texas.

Tickets for the events went on sale in June, costing from $100 for standard admissions to thousands of dollars for premium tickets.

In July, Politico first reported that tickets for the tour were selling slowly, noting how pop star Bad Bunny managed to sell out a March show at the Amway Center in Florida, where Trump and O’Reilly are appearing on December 12, in just two days.

Just a few days before Trump and O’Reilly kick off their “History Tour” at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida on December 11, there are thousands of tickets available to purchase online, including those at the cheapest prices.

The Ticketmaster website where people can purchase the tickets shows that there more than a thousand seats are available at the FLA Live Arena, as well as at the Anway Center in Orlando on December 12.

There are still several hundred available to buy at the American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas, where Trump and O’Reilly will speak on December 19, with the show at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on December 18 also having more than 200 tickets left.

In their July report about slow ticket sales, a Trump aide noted to Politico that the former president hasn’t promoted the events much since they went on sale—something he still appears reluctant to do on his Save America PAC website which he uses as a replacement for the social media platforms he is banned from.

Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington told Politico: “The History Tour has already sold over $5 million of tickets, and the excitement and enthusiasm is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Come December, the sold out shows will be a memorable night for all.”

In a statement the same month released via Trump’s PAC, O’Reilly claimed that the tour had already grossed $7 million, partly because many of the expensive VIP tickets have sold well.

“This tour will be one of the most lucrative of all time,” O’Reilly added.

Throughout his presidency, Trump frequently made references to crowd sizes as a sign of his success.

This began from the moment he took office, where he and his team repeatedly claimed that his 2017 inauguration had the highest ever public attendance for a president, despite photos proving otherwise.

In a recent interview on British television with Nigel Farage, Trump also bemoaned that “nobody ever talks about” about how the crowd he spoke to at the January 6 protests prior to the attack at the Capitol was the “largest crowd I’ve ever spoken to.”

Trump has been contacted for comment.
